On first hearing this, my immediate thought was its similarity to a children's song 'Green and Yellow'. This follows a similar verse structure, and and similar story - a child eats some poisonous worms, and returns to tell his mother about it, for example:
'What colour were the worms, Henry, my son? What colour were the worms, My beloved one?' 'Green and yellow, Green and yellow, O mother come quick, 'Cause I feel very sick, And I want to lay down and die'
Does anyone know where this originated, and whether there was any connection? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.234.252.67 ( talk) 11:19, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
