The "Major factors" section summarizes that longevity is based off of genetics and life choices. In the following paragraphs, however, extensive detail is given to genetics while the only contribution to life choices is "diet." I believe that more life choices than just diet contribute to longevity and more information should be added. NoahStubbs ( talk) 22:48, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
An uninvolved editor has asked the Arbitration Committee to review whether the discretionary sanctions are still required in this topic area, and to repeal them if they are not. Every ambiguous, false, tearful, emotional exaggeration brings about that typically kitsch attitude which could be defined as "sentimentality." Gillo Dorfles. [1]
Analytical thought of the frontal lobe, not emotional drift to the torrent of randomness of the limbic system. Well even statistically countries who have higher iq and relatively lower eq, tend towards longevity. There are facts about it, again and again the same, for so many years.
Please add other longevity factors underneath. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:587:4108:DB00:1832:FC09:ED75:38B5 ( talk) 03:38, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

Aggressive competition and the consequent risk of stress or physical injury, has been theorized to be the reason for gender or sex differences in average longevity, and preliminary findings seem to support that hypothesis: https://phys.org/news/2019-04-turtle-gender-lifespan-differences-due.html
Might this be worth mentioning in the article? Zazpot ( talk) 13:39, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
The article states ″Developed countries: 77–90 years (e.g. Canada: 81.29 years, 2010 est.)Developing countries: 32–80 years (e.g. Mozambique: 41.37 years, 2010 est.)″ this is wrong.According to the world bank Mozambique had a life expectancy of 54 not 41.37 in 2010,and there is no country on earth in 2010 that had a life expectancy of 32(at least to my knowledge). Furthermore there is no country on earth with a life expectancy of 90 years.
