This is conflicting, isn't it? A completely abstract logo is e.g. the one for the Norwegian University of Science and Technology by Bruno Oldani. He has stated that the logo “contains no major symbolism” ( in Norwegian).
Also, the term brandmark redirects here, but isn't mentioned. Should it be?
Finally, should the term ideograph, which is used, be defined or have a link elsewhere?
