Llewellyn Park is not considered an unincorporated area. It falls completely within the borders of the Township of West Orange and therefore this should be changed to reflect this. If you have any questions about this I suggest you call Mayor John McKeon at (973) 325-4100 or the Township Clerk Nancy O'Hara at (973) 325-4155 and they will verify what I am saying. This is a suggestion for a reference for Llewellyn park wikipedia entry. Someone needs to put it in the article. The Magazine Antiques January 1975 page 142-158, article wriiten by Jane B. Davis - last page of this article lists numerous references for article- which will be of interest to the site writer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Artfornow ( talk • contribs) 13:24, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
In the 1950's I went to school in Short Hills NJ, and some of my classmates commuted to school from Llewellyn Park. I recall it as a safe island not far from a dangerous area. It was a gated community back then, with very cautious guards at the entrances (I think there were two?). I recall a formidable wall, but don't recall how far it went. Even then it all seemed ironic considering the history of relief for escaped slaves. I wonder how it has changed in the last 50 or 60 years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Maa8722 ( talk • contribs) 01:18, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
