The article is over-linked - only the first Berlin or oil-on-canvas needs a link. We have articles on most of the specific museums - Kunsthalle is generic and Gemäldegalerie goes to Berlin Gemäldegalerie, Berlin, not the Dresden one. In fact the Berlin "Nationalgalerie" and "Staatliche Museen" are (post-reunification) now all the Gemäldegalerie there. Johnbod ( talk) 20:04, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Are we sure that this [1] and this [2] are two different paintings? they look awfully similar to me, and the commons info gives the same date for each... Lithoderm ( talk) 21:50, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Another discrepancy: this [4] claims to be an oil painting, but it looks to me like a pen and watercolor drawing. Lithoderm ( talk) 13:42, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Anyone mind if I remove these? Ceoil ( talk) 23:19, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
See the gallery at the foot of the German Wikipedia article. If somebody with a commons account could transfer them over, this page would move a long way forward. As it is, its shaping up really well. Ceoil ( talk) 21:20, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
This is beginning to shape up..thanks for starting this article.... Modernist ( talk) 23:07, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
The german wikipedia gives this table of Friedrich paintings destroyed in the Glaspalast fire. If anyone can provide more information about them (at least the dates!), then they should probably included in the list. '

Well, in the Tetschen Altar the frame is an integral part of the work, but for The Cathedral and Cross in the Mountains; yes, those frames could be cropped. By the way, does the MOMA have a torrent, and if it does, could you fetch a high resolution version of this for me? It's needed for an article... Litho derm 03:34, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
