Are there similar pages for each constituent country of the EU? I think there should be EdwardRussell ( talk) 14:07, 1 December 2013 (UTC) reply

I do not know why you think there should be. However, I believe such data is published by eurostat with different options.
Let say that the one page for EU gives the big picture, and avoid the endless list of each of many constituent country. Indeed, a graph could give a visual picture of the data. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.185.253.241 ( talk) 16:24, 10 June 2018 (UTC) reply
Eurostat published two or three kind of figures for such topic:
  • Import and Exports from EU member to other countries (total)
  • Import and Exports from EU member to other EU members (internal trade)
  • Import and Exports contribution from EU member to extra-EU (third) countries (external trade) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.136.216.166 ( talk) 22:10, 18 February 2020 (UTC) reply

Ambiguity

I can't tell if the "Imports" column is "Imports to the EU from named country" or "Imports to the named country from the EU". Likewise, I also can't tell if the exports column means "Exports from the named country to the EU", or "Exports from the EU to the named country". The table doesn't make clear which side of the trade is the exporter and which is the importer. So I don't know it if means "US imports from the EU", or "EU imports from the US". Please resolve the ambiguity.

I think it is very clear because the subject is how much the EU imports from the rest of the world and how much it exports to the rest if the world.-- Avidius ( talk) 14:27, 16 September 2018 (UTC) reply
To be clearer: "In those tables, a positive trade balance means that the EU epxorts more than it imports from the given country." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.136.216.166 ( talk) 22:07, 18 February 2020 (UTC) reply

China is now the EU's largest trade partner. The article needs a update.
