A number of entries can be copied from William Bloye. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:59, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
I've started to copy over the William Bloye entries. Anyone know what happened to The Mermaid sculpture in Sparkhill, as I've not seen it from the bus since the 2010 fire! Ellrbrown ( talk) 20:29, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
We should probably merge the Central Birmingham and Ladywood sections; as the former is within the latter constituency. Olton is in Solihull. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:50, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
I have subdivided what I could. Including the Central area. Although not fully sure on the naming / grouping of the City Core areas (depending on how many entries there are). Do we need a new list for Solihull and the Black Country? Ellrbrown ( talk) 22:55, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
I meant create a new list separate to this one! (new article) Think there is loads in Dudley, but don't want to put them in the Birmingham list Ellrbrown ( talk) 14:09, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
How do we deal with defunct artworks, and those (such as the King Kong statue) moved outside Birmingham? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:53, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
We could probably add them (without current location / co-ordinates). When construction sites take over, e.g. Library of Birmingham, Five Ways Shopping Centre for a new hotel, those artworks went into storage. I believe that there was a Interchange sculpture outside Solihull Station, but I don't know what happened to it. Was there until at least 2009. Chiltern Railways made changes to the station, so not sure what happened to it. Ellrbrown ( talk) 22:59, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
I just bought a book from the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery: Public Art in Birmingham (published in 1993). Some lost artworks mentioned include: Swing by Kevin Atherton (1988) it was installed in St Chad's Circus in 1990. Not sure what happened to that one (since the redevelopment of the area). Icarus (1990 by Juginder Lamba and Tony Phillips) was near Norman Street in Winson Green (near the prison). Doesn't seem visible from Google street map view. I'm not very familiar with Birmingham. Here's a list of some things that could be public art from Geograph in the general area of Birmingham that aren't in this list yet (with a few murals that already are). Could someone more familiar with the area point out which ones belong in this list or elsewhere.

I've noticed the railings in the Peace Garden, [1] and also the railings on the ramp from Moor Street Queensway up to the Bullring (Rotunda Square). Also similar ones on the other side down to St Martin's Queensway (near Birmingham New Street Station). [2] Ellrbrown ( talk) 13:42, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
