Do we like the backwards format of this page? I find it a bit off-putting. john 18:06, 24 Aug 2003 (UTC)
Parties in French politics gets really difficult, particularly in the Third Republic, when they were pretty fluid. I agree that I'd prefer a list that goes forward. I'm not particularly eager to actually make the changes, however... john 20:34, 31 Aug 2003 (UTC)
This remains the only list of its kind that goes backwards. Should we reverse it?

There are two republican PM numbered 6 (Faucher and Dufaure), but no 74. Thank you for this highly useful page. Paco Campoamor, Palma de Mallorca, Spain. 206.204.157.231 ( talk) 16:38, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
Sorry, I also can't find numbers 44 nor 64. Paco Campoamor, Palma de Mallorca, Spain. 206.204.157.231 ( talk) 16:48, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
I've removed the numbering entirely. I understand to some this may seem like a Bold decision, but it has some merit, I believe. The numbers aren't referenced to a reliable source. They are created internally here by WP editors, which is sort of WP:OR. The numbers weren't even included until the 2eme Republique. The numbers have no meaning, and they serve no purpose (what does it mean to bethe 23rd PM or the 76th PM)? I've seen some other lists with numbers and others without them, but this list should stand on its own merits without have to copy others for needless consistency. I welcome your comments. — GoldRingChip 01:14, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
