Is this really the best title scheme we can come up with for these pages? "Next (country name) election"...? Doesn't seem particularly encyclopaedic. Surely we can come up with something better? - wolf 07:03, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
There's no reason to divide the list into regions, it hinders us from arranging the elections in chronological order and seeing whatever one is next in the world, instead we have to tediously do it per region. A column called 'region' can be added for those who want to see the list by region. It should also be ordered by date by defeault. And dates which are just the year should be at the end of that year, not at the beginning, seeing a they won't be the actual next election. I don't know how to do these things, and I'm guessing this message will lie uncommented and probably unread for years, so I may learn how, then come back and make the changes myself after a while. - 37.173.243.57 ( talk) 23:05, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
It is impossible to arrange the list in chronological order as the date have been inputted with month or day first instead of year first, so you just get all elections in August regardless of year. Agge.se ( talk) 18:23, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
I'm not sure if this has been discussed before. Wikidata has excellent coverage on future elections and could be used to automatically generate this list. I did an experiment here. These list-like articles are perfect candidates for Wikidata-generated content IMO. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Popperipopp ( talk) 12:46, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
You can’t just leave out facts that you don’t agree with 2600:1011:B142:A38A:7C81:65CC:94C4:D3C7 ( talk) 21:31, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
The information here regarding Micronesia’s elections is outdated. It still has March 7th as the next election date in each column when March 7th has already passed. Thunderhawk256 ( talk) 05:25, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
Suggest to name countries after the official ISO 3166-1 short name as pr. Wikipedia guidelines: /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(countries). This would mean countries like Tanzania would have the more formal and longer name of "Tanzania, United Republic". AnSchulz ( talk) 12:20, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
