Another Wikipedia list, this one about forts in the wonderful State of Tennessee. I am planning to improve the list as follows.
The list could be converted to a table with the following headers: name of fort; nationality of builders; location; county; time when built; status (in existance/destroyed); notes. A lead section is planned that would shortly summarize the kind of forts found in Tennessee and their purpose in general.

While compiling this list from Wikipedia articles, I found out that there seem to be quite a bunch of forts in Tennessee. Into this list I only included those that have corresponding Wikipedia articles and it is tagged as incomplete. I am not sure if it makes sense to add dozens of forts to the list that are redlinked and might never get their Wikipedia article due to non-notability. Anyone who is interested in adding forts to the list is welcome, of course. As far as the introduction is concerned, some expert help would be appreciated. It would be nice to summarize in a few sentences what a fort is and what kind of forts there were/are in Tennessee, with technical terms. Thanks! Take care,
