There is now a discussion at WP:FOR on the formatting and content of "List of diplomatic missions" articles. As this discussion ostensibly could affect this article, editors are encouraged to provide their opinions on the WP:FOR at this link - Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_International_relations#Formatting_of_diplomatic_missions_lists - please do not discuss on this article talk page as valid points for consideration may very well not be seen by editors at large. Right now they make the page look quite sloppy. I'd suggest replacing thumbnails with plain links. Now, with or without pics, all lines are the same height:

Diplomatic relations between Estonia and Soviet Russia were est. in February, 1920. Estonia nominated its first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiaryin February to Russia in February, 1921. Estonian embassy in Moscow functioned until August 1940. From that time until 1991, a "permanent representations of the councils of ministers of the Soviet Republics to the Council of Ministers of the USSR" functioned in the same building. Russia(n SFSR) (re-)recognized Estonia on 24 August, 1991. Diplomatic relations were re-established on 24. October 1991 (in English). Miacek and his crime-fighting dog (t) 18:52, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
I have removed photos of some of the 'embassies' as they are not photos of the actual embassies, but rather of buildings in which the missions are located. For example, the Brunei embassy photo of the embassy, but is rather of the Radisson Hotel fountain in Moscow - the embassy is located in 2-3 offices in the actual business arcade. Other 'embassy' photos, such as Albania, Uganda, etc aren't of the actual embassy, but rather office blocks (and in some instances, residential apartment blocks) in which the embassy may occupy a single office. Also, the photo of the 'Abkhazian' embassy is not certain it is of the Abkhazian embassy. The new embassy opened in May, and as per photos from the South Ossetian embassy [1] it is obvious it is not the same building - that building is at 11 Gagarinsky Lane, but the Abkhazian embassy and the MID give the address of 4 Mamonovsky lane. This needs to be verified first before that photo is added back - even then, the building has undergone great renovation since the time that photo was taken, which at that time was not the embassy. -- Russavia I'm chanting as we speak 16:27, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
This article is not discussing the international status of Abkhazia and south Ossetia...it is a list of the diplomatic missions in Russia. To separate Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Palestine, based upon them not being internationally recognised is POV-pushing. Especially when entities such as the Holy See, Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the European Union are left in the list as is. Additionally these changes are only being made to this article, and are not being made in regards to Kosovo and Taiwan on other articles in Category:Lists of diplomatic missions by receiving country. The standard for inclusion at List_of_diplomatic_missions_in_Russia#Embassy-level_missions_in_Moscow is that these missions are embassy-level missions whom present credentials to the President of Russia and are located in Moscow, as it is the standard on all list articles of this nature. Before reverting and making such changes, please discuss. -- Russavia I'm chanting as we speak 07:57, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
