After looking at the discussion, I realize the page is somewhat misnamed. Maybe "by longevity", or some other words indicating what the page is about Bcperson89 ( talk) 06:27, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
The chart shows Brandstad serving for a few months, which is correct for the current term but he has served as governor for 16 years in the past. Perhaps a footnote should be included. 128.252.254.26 ( talk) 04:07, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
I've noticed that only governors of states are included in this list and that the governors of the territories are not. The governors of the U.S. territories need to be on this list as well as they are American governors too. The governors of the territories are no less an American governor then a governor of a state. And as we all know, most current states were territories before they became states. So somebody needs to add the territorial govenors. The U.S. territories are: Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islans, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands. To get info about the current governors of the U.S. territories just visit the National Governors Association (NGA) website at http://www.nga.org . Or you can go directly to the biographies of the territorial governors, as well as the state governors, at the NGA website here: http://www.nga.org/cms/render/live/governors/bios — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.55.249.62 ( talk) 13:12, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
The section #Demographics of state governors is unsourced and looks like OR or synthesis. It is also info that can soon become outdated. Is there any good reason why it should not be deleted? -- David Biddulph ( talk) 21:46, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
