Notability for creating such a list was based on an arbitrary listing compiled on IMDb. Movies and Television Episodes Based on Comics Directed by Women on IMDb Can you find some other news articles that discuss such a list? I don't want this to be runaway listcruft. I found these news articles that discuss such a list: 1) https://decider.com/2016/12/15/best-of-2016-movies-and-tv-directed-by-women/ 2) https://www.indiewire.com/2017/03/best-tv-shows-created-by-women-1201791086/ 3) https://www.latimes.com/entertainment/tv/la-ca-st-female-directors-main-story-20180309-htmlstory.html Cardei012597 ( talk) 06:16, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
I hope these would suffice, but I could also provide others: 4) https://bloody-disgusting.com/editorials/3370230/13-terrific-television-episodes-directed-by-women/ 5) https://variety.com/2016/tv/features/jessica-jones-women-directors-season-two-melissa-rosenberg-1201897203/ 6) https://www.bustle.com/p/31-great-tv-episodes-directed-by-women-from-tense-er-nights-to-golden-girls-antics-15936493 7) https://psmag.com/social-justice/the-number-of-tv-episodes-directed-by-women-and-minorities-has-hit-an-all-time-high Cardei012597 ( talk) 06:19, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
From all of these news articles, they describe different female directed episodes based on comics, including Jessica Jones. I hope this matter is resolved. Cardei012597 ( talk) 06:22, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
I'm scrubbing through the 7 references. So far 1) Decider has no episodes that are connected to comic books. 2) Indiewire only has references to Jessica Jones in general as the developer Melissa Rosenberg, but NOT specific episodes. 3) LA Times article behind a paywall. 4) Bloody Disgusting - None of the episodes here refer to comic books base. 5) Variety - says all women directors were hired for Jessica Jones season 2, not specifying which episodes they directed. 6) Bustle 30 - Only general television episodes, but NO COMIC BOOK BASED, 7) No mention of comic books. So your articles only support a list of women directed television episodes in general, not comic book based ones. AngusWOOF ( bark • sniff) 19:32, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
Ok, I found other citations: 1) https://deadline.com/2018/06/marvels-jessica-jones-krysten-ritter-direct-episode-season-3-1202418314/ 2) https://deadline.com/2018/04/fx-orders-y-pilot-based-y-the-last-man-comic-book-series-michael-green-aida-mashaka-croal-1202359240/ 3) https://deadline.com/2018/01/watchmen-nicole-kassell-to-direct-hbo-pilot-damon-lindelof-1202274631/ 4) https://variety.com/2018/tv/news/watchmen-hbo-series-nicole-kassell-director-1202682035/ Cardei012597 ( talk) 19:53, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
I also found: 1) https://deadline.com/2019/05/kari-skogland-to-direct-6-part-the-falcon-and-the-winter-soldier-miniseries-with-anthony-mackie-sebastian-stan-daniel-bruhl-emily-van-camp-1202619197 2) Cardei012597 ( talk) 19:57, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
Ok, then maybe with this citation: https://variety.com/2016/tv/features/jessica-jones-women-directors-season-two-melissa-rosenberg-1201897203/ along with citations that specify the individual episodes directed by women: https://deadline.com/2018/06/marvels-jessica-jones-krysten-ritter-direct-episode-season-3-1202418314/ and other citations that specify which episode were directed by a woman? Does that sound like a decent plan? Cardei012597 ( talk) 20:45, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
That sounds good, the original purpose of this page was to be a split page or a sister page for comic based films. The la times citation is a good choice. Cardei012597 ( talk) 18:30, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
