Since many of the colonial governors were more like "absentee landlords" (I understand some never even visited the colony), it might be helpful to also list the lieutenant governors or acting governors as well.

Wrong Nathaniel Bacon listed under crown governors.
The Nathaniel Bacon listed under crown governors is the wrong Nathaniel Bacon. It was the elder Nathaniel and not the Rebel Bacon. There were two Nathaniel Bacon's in colonial Virginia.
