This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... early colonial history is very important and alcohol/breweries played a huge role in early economics in Canada, but if early colonial history about alcohol is not considered important to our history then please delete the page.
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... also the 'former brewery house' is quite possibly the oldest (or one of the oldest) breweries in colonial North America which deserves recognition in the history books. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nick21mo ( talk • contribs) 16:20, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate list of information.
When breweries that started in the 1990s are listed, the article no longer qualifies as a list of "oldest" breweries.
Lists must have inclusion criteria. What are the criteria here? Just being a brewery? Being a notable brewery? Being a brewery established at least a century ago?
Either tighten up the inclusion criteria or rename the article. ~ Amatulić ( talk) 18:28, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
ok perfect, thank you! I'm new so I'm just learning but I appreciate the help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nick21mo ( talk • contribs) 22:23, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
ya maybe an expansion would be good, I like the new jersey list so maybe title it "List of Canadian Breweries and Wineries" and i could still keep it a chronological list with divisions by province. Nick21mo ( talk) 11:01, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
that sounds good, I'll continue modelling this page after the new jersey one and work on an intro paragraph as well in the following days, thanks! Nick21mo ( talk) 20:32, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
