Why is Wachovia not on this list? It was acquired by Wells Fargo a few months ago... -- 172.130.242.138 ( talk) 01:27, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes, Wachovia was sold to Wells Fargo in Dec 2008. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.24.104.150 ( talk) 19:47, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
in section 'Banks bankrupt, filed for bankruptcy protection, or closed and received by the FDIC' there is a table for 2009. No one has maintained this table since Sept 2009 even though there are more banks closed down by the FDIC every Friday in the US. Is there any reason to continue to keep the 2009 table (and the 2007 and 2008 table for that matter) in this section or should the table(s) be deleted here and just leave a pointer to the FDIC web site where a complete list can be found? THIS PAGE APPEARS TO BE DUPLICATIVE OF List of bank failures in the United States (2008–present) WHICH CONTAINS MORE INFORMATION AND FEWER X-REFERENCES. THE PAGES SHOULD BE COMBINED. Tloc ( talk) 22:55, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
