It was British India as India was not independent in WW1. Ovsek ( talk) 14:37, 25 June 2013 (UTC) reply


Indeed, India was a British colony during World War I. That is why the list is entitled "List of World War I aces from India", rather than "List of World War I Indian aces" (note the emphasis).
