It states in the article that Owl misspells his name as "Wol", and in one of The Clangers episodes there are 4 owl-like iron birds named the Wols. I've only just noticed the name connection. This is how I have always assumed you get “Heffalumps and Woozles” out of “Elephants and Weasels.”
