Additional colours for outcomes

While I do agree with some of the changes made to this article recently, aspects that I would consider missing is more colours used to indicate certain outcomes. The most obvious in my opinion is withdrawals, and making that information invisible I would consider to have no purpose, particularly considering it is mentioned in other tables on other articles, such as those for series. I would also consider participating to be another candidate for a colour on the article, to make it more clear to readers that they do not currently have a final placement. Lastly, although the least neccessary most likely could be a last place, because many series had a slightly different last place number by virtue of some series having only eight contestants, but two series containing sixteen. I think in the same way we indicate when someone is first place with a colour, I personally cannot see a reason why we cannot indicate that they were in last place. Does anyone think that any of these three changes should be implemented on the table? Lawrence 979 ( talk) 19:56, 28 October 2023 (UTC) reply

Should there also be a colour to indicate that a couple came last in the competition. I think that there should be because some series each had a slightly different number of weeks, particularly the earlier series, and I think that if we can include a colour for first place and second place, we could by the same standards include a colour or at least an indicator of some sort for last place. Why? The show doesn’t treat it any differently than any other elimination. Bgsu98 (Talk) 13:44, 12 November 2023 (UTC) reply
While that is true to an extent, it is mentioned in a few contexts, such as pro dancers pages on the website. I think it would help readers to some extent to identify the last places slightly easier when sorting the list by placement. Even then, perhaps an alternative could be partially restoring the old version of this page, by stating what number it is out of, so for example, in the case of Hamza Yassin for series 20, it would read '1st of 15', while with Kaye Adams, it would read '15th of 15'. It could also be argued the page is slightly inconsistent with certain other pages, where the contestant in last place is in some contexts described as 'eliminated 1st'.
