Agree with the idea on Richard De Soyza. Same applies for Karupiah Raveendra Pushpakumara, the Sri Lankan Test cricketer. He should be Tamil due to paternal lineage and sinhala due to maternal lineage. Petty racists cannot vandalize trying to own unique Sri Lankans by assigning to one ethnic group while they belong to both. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gunathilake ( talk • contribs) 14:20, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
SriSuren I cannot understand why these historical figures were removed, They ruled Sri Lanka. Not fractions . They ruled the whole island or some parts. They are Sri Lankan Tamils though they belonged to ancient era.
I have just added Manicasothy Saravanamuttu - Editor of The Straits Echo in Malaya (1931-1941) credited with 'saving' Penang during Japanese invasion in 1941. I created a page for him last night and this morning there is already a tag for proposed speedy deletion. Very distressing. Could all of you who are involved in the topic of Sri Lanka Tamils speedily take a look at the page for Manicasothy Saravanamuttu and provide some feedback? Whether you think it should be removed or not. Thank you. Penang Pioneer Penang pioneer ( talk) 01:32, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
Can someone add Maha sinnathamby the property developer and business magnet into the australians business persons list. http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/05/24/1085359552381.html Thanks-- Sria 00:42, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
I have created the category "Business people" in the Sri Lankan section and added Mr. Kandiah Balendra and Ratnam Sivaratnam to the list. Miss p r ( talk) 19:00, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
The move of this page should be reversed: per the guideline for stand-alone lists like this one, "notable" is assumed and so should not be part of the article's title. Accordingly, I am going to kick off the move back to the original title. UnitedStatesian ( talk) 21:13, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of Sri Lankan Tamils's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT ⚡ 05:00, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
