Why is it particularly important to have this list only for those killed in WWI, and not for those killed in any other wars, including WWII?

I'm working on doing the WWII list at some point. The main points being 1) it's a clear split and 2) one single list would be huge. Their are 570+ known individuals who have appeared at the Olympics and died in a war. My stats are 138 in WWI, 403 in WWII, 12 in the Spanish Civil War and 19 from other conflicts. Thanks.
