When I transeferred this list from its original site in Hampstead, I removed the following names for which no references were given for them having resided in Hampstead. I (and I hope others) will find references from reliable sources and gradually move the entries with an inline citation back to the list. Please remove the name or strike through once it has been added to List of Hampstead residents. – Voceditenore ( talk) 09:56, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

I have removed both Childs Hill and Gospel Oak as neither were traditionally considered part of the 'Hampstead area' unless the old LCC Hampstead Borough is going to be the definition which does not seem appropriate in this context. Tmol42 ( talk) 16:37, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
I have added detail on period of his family's residence in Hampstead cited to a Shropshire newspaper report following his death (1970), whose most directly relevant story was headlined 'The year of exile in Salop'. French users and readers please note, 'Salop' is a colloquial (non-obscene) and abbreviative name for Shropshire. Cloptonson ( talk) 21:42, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
