I've added NASA Blue Marble satellite composite images to the following articles (the top islands which didn't already have an overall satellite photo):
I'd like to add ones to the remaining islands listed here, but the Blue Pearl data isn't very detailed, and so for the smaller islands one either gets a uselessly grainly image or one has to show progressively more of the neighbourhood and less of the island itself. I might be able to find Landsat imagery (which is much more detailed) but its server is broken today. Comments and suggestions as to these images are most welcome. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 16:31, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
There is only 49 islands, of which 32 are with ranking numbers. USA only has 22 islands with area over 1000 km², but still that [List of islands of the United States by area|article] has 68 numbered entries, all above 190 km² of area. Can it be so hard to get data for Canadian islands? I might later take a try myself. 82.141.72.135 ( talk) 13:46, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Can anyone explain why this is counted as a single island, when it is actually two? Hatifnatter ( talk) 19:55, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
