Hitler
Do you think Hitler should be here? His artistic work doesn't seem notable to me. (No, WWII Is not art ;)) --

I was thinking the same thing. He did a few paintings, but that doesn't make him an artist, I'll remove it.

Bohm Solomon
Herman Bohm is alphabetized under R and not under B.
Herman Ratzersdorfer, I believe, spelled his first name as Hermann.
Hermann Ratzersdorfer's father was, I believe Salomon. It is incorrectly spelled in an article about Hermann Ratzersdorfer's work published in an ezine article by the ASCAS [Association of Small Collectors of Antique Silver] by Giorgio Busetto. I am coauthor of the article, I created the error. Someone might have used this article as a source.

Merger proposal
The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
To not merge painters with artists and architects; a split of the latter was floated, with some support.

Comment - surely it would make more sense to separate into two lists, one for architects and one for artists (incl painters).
Ingratis (

I agree - I considered making that proposal at the same time, but I thought a split and a merge proposal would be confusing.

OK! I'm happy to help with the work if required.
Ingratis (

Thanks; I plan to leave this for a few days to give other editors time to contribute, and then implement the merge and split if there is no opposition.

The usual practice appears to be to have separate national lists for Painters and for Artists, although obviously there is often considerable overlap between the two. Therefore, for consistency, I would suggest splitting the Artists and Architects list into two and leaving the Painters list as is.

Oppose, per 14GTR. For example, painters and architects are two different animals, and each occupy their own niche.
