Wikipedia follows it's own
manual of style, and is not beholden to other conventions. If we're talking about an official title, that's another matter; if we're talking in general terms about an event, we go with our own style and conventions. OhNoitsJamieTalk20:39, 25 February 2014 (UTC)reply
Thanks for the reply. Just wondering though, if it's the IOC's official naming policy (or that of the respective sporting federations whose convention the IOC presumably follows), then why shouldn't that take precedence? Thanks again.
