Per talk at
WT:CHEM#Expert needed, we found that these two articles should probably be merged here because the two systems are similar and each article consists mostly of compare-and-contrast of the other. Also, there are non-
mercury-based versions of those sytems. –

Support. It seems wise to take 3 stubs on very closely related topics and produce a single article that centralizes the information.
