This article is written in
American English, which has its own spelling conventions (color, defense, traveled) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other
varieties of English. According to the
relevant style guide, this should not be changed without
broad consensus.
In Russian Cyrillic, "HYPT MAEK" would be "НУРТ МАЕК" ("nurt maek"); in Kyrgyz Cyrillic, "НҮРТ МАЕК" ("nürt maek"). Google Translate gives the Kyrgyz meaning of the former as "Light Conversation", but has no translation for "НҮРТ". Would the article be improved by using both the Cyrillic writings, rather than Latin script? — Preceding

If you look at the photo in the source, it's fairly apparent that the "MA" is in fact "ИΛ", and so the graffiti is "NURT ILEK", the man's name.
