About 60% of each Leopard 2E was manufactured in Spain, as opposed to 30% for the Leopard 2S, for example, most of which was manufactured in Sweden.
Confusing. Can someone clarify? — Michael Z. 2008-09-21 23:39 z
manufactured in Spain (197 Leopard 2E tank and 12 Leopard 2ER recovery tank)
manufactured in Germany (22 Leopard 2E tank , 4 Leopard 2ER recovery tank and 4 Leopard 2E driver training tank)
I pretty much have the same thing to say on here as on the AMX 30E article. I don't see how this is distinct enough from the rest of the Leopard 2 series to warrant an article - it appears to be nothing more than a sub version of the Leopard 2A6, yet there is no separate article on any of the other Leopard variants, such as the Swedish Strv 122 or Canadian Leopard 2's. I do think it would be a valuable addition to the main Leopard 2 article though. -- L1A1 FAL ( talk) 05:32, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Second thought, maybe it is distinct enough from the original Leopard, so disregard the above (I still stand by my statement on the AMX 30E article however). I also think that if it were folded into the Leopard article, much of the info would probably be lost, which would be a shame. I still have one concern though. Is it possible to get any English language replacements (I would suspect there might be a shortage however) for the Spanish language sources cited? Seems a little out of place to have sourced on an article that aren't even the same language as said article. -- L1A1 FAL ( talk) 06:16, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
