Title is outdated?

Perhaps this article should be retitled "Left atrial appendage". Regarding this topic, I have read mainly journal articles related to atrial fibrillation and they all have used the term "left atrial appendage" rather than "left auricular appendix."

At the bottom of this article is the notice, "This article was originally based on an entry from a public domain edition of Gray's Anatomy. As such, some of the information contained herein may be outdated. Please edit the article if this is the case, and feel free to remove this notice when it is no longer relevant."

I suspect that the title is outdated. Bob K31416 ( talk) 09:13, 16 May 2008 (UTC) reply

I just noticed that all 5 references in this article use "left atrial appendage", not "left auricular appendix" in their titles. I think it's time to change the name of the article to Left atrial appendage. Bob K31416 ( talk) 02:07, 23 May 2008 (UTC) reply

There's a better image at Wikipedia Commons, but I don't know how to insert it.

Merge proposal

Propose merging this article with Left atrium - both are quite small articles and think they would be better presented on the one page. Iztwoz ( talk) 20:01, 1 July 2014 (UTC) reply
