As a member of WikiProject Albania, I assigned Lead Mosque to myself for expansion. Found some references in Albanian that could be used: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5] and the corresponding article in the Albanian Wikipedia, sq:Xhamia e Plumbit. Cheers. — Kedadi 15:41, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
There is another Lead Mosque in Albania, precisely in Berat. It'd actually be interesting to write an article about that too. If there are other Lead mosques in the world, a template would be warranted -- Sulmues ( talk) 13:05, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
I gather from the references in Albanian that a significant amount of this article has been translated from Albanian. Unfortunately, the translator's grasp of English idiom isn't perfect (my grasp of Albanian idiom is nonexistent, btw), and the text reads rather clumsily. I've adjusted the wording in several places but it's still imperfect. One clause escapes me: "the Lead Mosque preceded other mosques in Albania to reopen Islam". I get the general sense but am not quite sure how it can be re-worded for clarity. Perhaps "the Lead Mosque was the first in Albania to reopen when Islam was revived after the Communist era."
If the translator is reading, please offer your comments. Floozybackloves ( talk) 20:53, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
