Explanation of Mare — Moon became Tide-locked to Earth (~3.8 Gya), Lunar Core migrated Earthwards (~3.8-3.2 Gya), melting Near Side Mantle & lava-flooding impact basins into Mare

Please permit me to post the details at: http://www.astronomyforum.net/moon-forum/92808-explanation-lunar-mare.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.235.48.24 ( talk) 12:25, 16 December 2009 (UTC) reply

Wrong name.

An epoch is a geochronological unit of time. Geochronological units are called Late Imbrian etc. Upper Imbrian indicates that it's a chronostratigraphic unit i.e. segments of rock. During the Late Imbrian epoch the Upper Imbrian series (rock segments) were created. The {{Timeline_Lunar_Geological_Timescale}} is wrong too. --Regards, Necessary Evil ( talk) 23:23, 27 March 2009 (UTC) reply

Proposed merge with Early Imbrian

Both articles are blue in the chart and can easily be treated within one article, even though they might have distinctive characteristics. BeenAroundAWhile ( talk) 05:54, 27 July 2015 (UTC) reply

Agreed and  Done, merging both to the Imbrian page, formerly just a dab for these two pages. Klbrain ( talk) 22:57, 21 October 2017 (UTC) reply
