Please free this article. See no:Lasse Gjertsen on the Norwegian Wikipedian. This guy is notable! 88.90.179.65 11:02, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
I think it is worth bringing this back, it seems to have been deleted just because he was famous on youtube.
There are other articles available things that happened on the internet, such as
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O_RLY and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_your_base etc
I think Lasse Gjertsen is only just begining and likely to become more popular, he has listeners on last.fm, probably would have a lot more if his mp3s were available, as it is an enormous amount of people watch the youtube video.
Here is an article about how MTV wants him on the back of the video http://blog.eardrumsmusic.com/2007/01/mtv-wants-youtube-star-lasse-gjertsen.html
Here is a wall street journal interview with him - http://online.wsj.com/public/article/SB116581381680846327-u6NlXOnRBxZ6qCKc4WoFeWQ_wgo_20071212.html
It would also be relevant to link to him from a general article on cut n paste artists and another about beatbox.
I have to say that overall the whole thing about 'notability' seems to be a bit arbitrary - are all blogs banned, what about traditional media that have blog sections, is youtube totally banned ? Is there a list of sites that count towards non-notability or that make one more notable ?
Addition - Kevin L 13th March 07: He's not just some guy who made some funny/cool music videos. He's also a musician and an extremely talented animator. Perhaps it's a bit odd to have an article about him (he's only 22!) but I think that he is someone a lot of people respect (at least 18,000 subscribe to his youtube videos). Maybe leave it a year or two.

Gave this article a bit of a shuffle and added some info. Unsure where I should link to reference the amount of times Lasse has been featured. I'm pretty sure 3 times by one guy is a youtube record... Also unsure if we should mention the Cartoon Network ripping off his hyperactive video? Raerth 23:47, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
As far as I know, the issue with YouTube links is copyright violation. In this case Lasse is the copyright holder (or authorised party) for all his videos. I reason this to validate linking. If anyone knows me to be wrong I am happy to see clarification :) Raerth 15:03, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Image:Bloo hyperactive.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Lasse is as of today (24.jan.08) aperantly suspended from youtube due too violation of terms.. I don't know if it should be added here, or if he will make a new account.. Just a shame:( 193.91.164.176 ( talk) 19:51, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
The article states his death. I can't find any confirmation anyhwere else on that. Does anyone have sources on that, or maybe it's put in there because of the vid? --- Private meta ( talk) 22:25, 7 April 2008 (UTC) +1 14:57, 14 April 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.122.230.216 ( talk)
Pulled the bit referencing Sacla 'copying' his style in their TV advert. The idea that making music from cutting and pasting everyday sounds is a new phenomenon pioneered by Lasse is absolutely ludicrous. It's been around for YEARS. If anyone doubts this see Hexstatic's Timber ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8-QDCKdVO4) - which has far more in common with the Sacla advert than Lasse does. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.8.12.197 ( talk) 17:23, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
his hyperactive video was again ripped on the cartoon network show total drama island. maybe put a mention? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.241.12.219 ( talk) 18:11, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
