To do:

  • Find more info for Drugbox
  • Avoid repetition of name—lanreotide, lanreotide, lanreotide...
  • Find more refs and better refs
  • Add more on the use of radiolabeled lanreotide?
  • Add more on efficacy and comparison to octreotide.
  • Interesting refs:

Oral Lanreotide

Do you think that one day there will be an oral form of Lanreotide or octreotide? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Interestedperson ( talkcontribs)

Well, there has been some development of orally active somatostatin analogues, [1] [2] [3] although not recently AFAIK. Very high oral doses of octreotide do produce some effect, comparable to a low parenteral dose (there's a reference for that somewhere). Perhaps somatostatin analogues with appropriate structural modifications will reach the market someday... Fvasconcellos ( t· c) 19:19, 17 July 2007 (UTC) reply

...peptide?

question: what kind of peptide is lanreotide? is it an octapeptide like octreotide? Nomoremissniceguy ( talk) 10:01, 21 January 2010 (UTC) reply

from the diagram it looks like 9 amino acids. - Rod57 ( talk) 09:24, 6 July 2015 (UTC) reply

Needs info on clinical trial results

and the first half of the Indications section needs slight rewording to reflect the 2014 approval. - Rod57 ( talk) 09:28, 6 July 2015 (UTC) reply
