PhD

Will the Lambeth doctorate in philosophy be called PhD or DPhil? All the other doctorates (DD, DCL, DM, DLitt, DMus - no mention of DSc) are Oxford abbreviations, and indeed the degree of DCL is an Oxford degree - Cambridge confers the LLD. It would make sense for the abbreviation to be DPhil.-- Oxonian2006 ( talk) 00:55, 19 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Agreed, but the press releases from Lambeth Palace all refer to "PhD". Ncox ( talk) 00:46, 4 December 2013 (UTC) reply

"Cantuar"?

I think not. As it happens, I have the Lambeth Diploma; and on the rare occasions when I've used postnominals I've always described as "STh(Lambeth)", not "STh(Cantuar)" Kranf ( talk) 19:01, 10 January 2009 (UTC) reply
