This page is not an encyclopedic description of the school; rather it is an advertisement of the school, by the school, or in plain English: "they're blowing their own trumpet". Definitely not neutral. ( 132.239.237.67 ( talk) 22:56, 22 February 2008 (UTC))
I am from La Jolla High. Someone fix this page please, I will be happy to provide unbiased factual information.
Could someone please add a bit about the recent 'Senior Bench' controversy that has been going on in the school?
I added a tiny bit Maxasher ( talk) 12:02, 30 March 2012 (UTC) feel free to add more or change the wording.
POV Check inserted due to the promotional style of writing in multiple new sections. (March 2015)
Had to undo edits by Aquadogsofmars. The 2015 vandalism section had no citation to prove that the ADL had been notified of the LJHS vandalism. The revisions also modified the neutrality and expressed a subjective view. I have also renamed the section from "Recent Vandalism" to "2015 Hate Vandalism" to keep the title more specific and prevent it from becoming superannuated. / RanJolla ( talk) 22:25, 17 March 2015 (UTC)
Based on the recently released information about the Free Speech bulletin board, I have worked to neutralize the entry after heavy editing by a number of users.
Reminder: the most effective way to realize neutrality is to quote raw information directly, rather than parse the information in a manner that includes personal interpretation.
Here is a brief summary of each of my edits. I also outline why the change was necessary and how it helps bring this entry into better compliance with Wikipedia rules and goals. Feel free to engage in discussion here on the talk page over these points.
This is designed to be a neutral framework with key facts about the issue from which anyone with no knowledge of the issue could understand it or form an independent judgement. Per Wikipedia policy, anything in the entry that is not cited could construe opinion and can be contested and removed.
Until another relatively reputable source reports, or the “other side” formally issues an opinion on an issue, there is limited information that can be added to Wikipedia. While some might argue that a cite-only approach leads to biased writing, it actually guarantees a raw representation of the facts as they are known.

I'm having some difficulty uploading up-to-date school branding images to this page. Our previous school logo, the Viking ship surrounded by laurel leaves, is being reserved for our official school stationary, so I took it down. I obtained permission from both the school principal and the athletic director to upload the current Viking mascot profile image as to be consistent with our school branding. While I have written permission from all copyright holders, I keep getting this image deleted from Wiki Commons, but it's impossible to upload to to the page without licensing it in commons. Wiki admin have not been helpful. Where do I provide the written permission from the copyright holders? Gimorgan ( talk) 22:11, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
