Request immediate removal of vandalism in "Early Life" Kradamite ( talk) 08:34, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure that "going to Hollywood" on "American Idol" is in and of itself notability, but I'm giving the user the benefit of the doubt. The formatting still needs work, though. -- PMDrive1061 ( talk) 03:20, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Pease rebuild this page as soon as posoble. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnny0929 ( talk • contribs) 02:26, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
"He is married to Katy O'Connell which now is Katy Allen. They got married in Sept. of 2008." <--this is worded strangely and there are no sources. will someone find sources, and then change it if it turns out that it's true or delete it if it's false. I looked up "kris allen wife" and nothing came up that said anything about that. 75.57.240.173 ( talk) 22:46, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
In the "Early Life" section there is information about his being able to play the guitar, piano, and ukulele. When he appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday, 5/21/2009, he mentioned that he also knows how to play the Viola. We should not include personal information that is not sourced at all in a BLP. I have removed it. H2O Shipper 22:48, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
On a forum, someone linked one article (maybe two) about his missionary work in several Eastern Hemisphere countries, plus one or more South American nations. If someone could locate these articles, I think they would be excellent biographical additions to this page.-- Cinemaniac86 Oy_gevalt. 00:21, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Please do not remove this. I integrated this into the charts very successfully last season. (This applies to all of the Top 12 contenders.) It is factual information, in that it is an indisputable order in which the contestant performed on that particular night. And it is relevant to anyone doing a review or synopsis of the show who wants to analyze statistics and such. (Notice how all 3 who performed last on their respective nights made the Top 12.) It is an especially good record one they all perform on the same night. Thank you.-- Cinemaniac86 Oy_gevalt. 00:24, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
The present pic of Kris is horribly out of focus. I'm removing it so a better pic can be found.-- Yolgnu ( talk) 12:08, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Inaccuracy....Kris Allen went to the final 3 with Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert, NOT Alison Iraheta. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.79.252.231 ( talk) 08:48, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
In the table that says all his performances, for the slot where they say "safe" or "elim" for the Top 2 it said "Stronger". I was unsure if that meant that Kris is stronger than Adam in terms of winning, since the finale has not aired yet, so I deleted it and replaced it with "TBA". Sorry if this made no sense to you! 98.218.189.159 ( talk) 14:56, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Yolgnu felt it necessary to delete the performances he gave in Arkansas, but I replaced them. I just need to know whether you all feel finding an article that talks about it, sourcing a page with the videos of said performances, or either/or will suffice as a good source so that Yolgnu doesn't feel compelled to eliminate them again. Especially considering he claims some of them never took place, which is a fine example of poor knowledge.-- Cinemaniac86 Oy_gevalt. 01:13, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Took almost a full two minutes to reflect. 68.21.39.101 ( talk) 02:03, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Kris is not the first married winner of AI. Chris Daughtry was also married when he won. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.92.135.33 ( talk) 02:24, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
"Part of Allen's ability to resonate with so many Americans stemmed from being an underdog, as well as his boy next door personality and humility." This is shameless POV and advertising - it doesn't matter if it's sourced to someone's blog. This is not appropriate for Wikipedia, and indeed the other Idol winners' articles don't contain reasons for why they "resonated with so many Americans".-- Yolgnu ( talk) 00:10, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
I find it necessary to include this in the article. And Yolgnu, stop being a dictator. As far as I'm concerned, you're they only one who's saying that paragraph shouldn't. How can you have that authority when you don't even watch the show? (*note: See Allison Iraheta)-- 23prootie ( talk) 08:38, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Caption on actual picture says "Danny Gokey". 198.54.202.114 ( talk) 18:12, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
"Allen re-enrolled in classes and was planning on giving up his pursuit of a music career to finish his degree and get a "regular job.""--- this should be deleted. It looks as if when he won Idol, he re enrolled and gave up on his musical career. If this is not deleted, it should be at least rephrased or reworded. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.127.223.73 ( talk) 13:51, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
"Friend and fellow Idol contestant Adam Lambert has subsequently described Allen as "not very religious, I don’t know where he got that label" going on to state, "he’s very open-minded to people’s lifestyles and he doesn’t judge." - This line should be removed. This does not refer to Kris' childhood and the text of the article cited is one in which Adam Lambert describes anyone who is not judgemental of his lifestyle as 'not very religious'. It does not seem like an accurate description of Kris Allen who has been a worship leader, member of Christian society at UCA, confirmed himself a 'man of God' on Larry King Live and described by his wife as having a 'Huge Heart for God' on their wedding website. Krisfan1989 ( talk) 03:34, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
The quote suggesting that Kris is not very religious based on Adam Lambert's article is out of place. There is entirely too much previous information about Kris to then conclude he is not very religious. Adam's article is clearly his point of view. And if you read it, his point of view is that everyone who is 'religious' is judgemental of him. Those who are tolerant of him are 'not religious'. I can't see how this can really be used to describe Kris Allen. This section should be removed. 216.255.10.52 ( talk) 18:51, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
We should not have to wait for a better source as stated in this edit, [3], when we already have current, reliable Billboard sources. Until a better source is available we should use the sources we currently have. Because of this I have added back the sources. Aspects ( talk) 18:43, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
The user with the IP address 121.209.164.213 has repeatedly attempted to remove all references to DialIdol without giving proper justification. Should Allen's DialIdol scores be mentioned in the article? Kradamite ( talk) 12:08, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
This article has suffered from numerous cases of vandalism in the past, including the latest edit from [72.93.215.85]. Please be aware that the result of American Idol season 8 is still a highly sensitive topic. I would sincerely like to ask the moderators to keep a close eye on this page, and immediately deal with any signs of vandalism. Kradamite ( talk) 20:40, 8 June 2009 (UTC) Kris is a hottie!!! :D —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.47.36.183 ( talk) 18:48, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
I'm just a bit confused, with Allen's first album, Brand New Shoes. In the certification section of his Studio Albums, it was stated as has been sold 600 copies, but in the Career section, it was stated as "600 copies were given to friends and family." Now, was it sold to his family members or was it been given freely to them? Syfuel ( talk) 14:51, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
