I'm not sure why Adamgerber80 would turn the article into a redirect. It is well sourced, the event appear to be notable, satisfying the criteria of WP:GNG, therefore it can exist as an article. Valid reason needs to be given for reverting it into a redirect. Hzh ( talk) 08:58, 22 August 2018 (UTC) reply

@ Hzh: If you look closely at the article history, it was crated by a sockpuppet User:Dali0Lama ( talk · contribs). My strong recommendation would be to open a discussion on Kongka Pass to create a WP:FORK and then take it from there. A better idea would be to first populate the content on that page and see if it can even be forked. Apart from this, the page has multiple issues of WP:NPOV and needs WP:RS at quite a few places. @ Adamgerber80: Who it was written by is of little relevance. As long as it satisfies the criteria for WP:GNG I don't see any issue with it. If you have any issue with WP:NPOV, the problematic sentences can be rewritten/removed/tag added. There is simply no reason to turn it into redirect if it is notable, and really, such discussion is unnecessary. Kongka Pass incident is not a fork of Kongka Pass, in as much as Nanking Incident is not a fork of Nanking. They describe separate things, one a historical event, the other a geographical location. When a article is created by a user who is evading a block we generally nominate it for a CSD. Since this is a redirect, I reverted it back to a redirect. If you wish to take liability for their edits, then you are free to reinstate their edits. I still feel it would be a good exercise to discuss the forking of such a page before it is created.
