This article has veered off NPOV all to heck and is now a cut-and-paste of text found at [1] and other places. This seems to be a copyright violation at least. Should I revert or post a copyright violation n it? Paul, in Saudi 01:54, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Is it really true that the order does not have a "white male" requirement anymore? The sites [2] and [3] both use the present tense when referring to it, and I cannot find anywhere (not even on their website) a positive statement that the order has abandoned the requirement. Is the charter online somewhere? AxelBoldt 16:58, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
I am also a pythian. Although I also will not put our constitution and laws on the web, I will say that at on time being a "white male" was a requirement. That law was repealed in the early '70's. The citation is in our Supreme Statutes that I cannot create a link to because that they are not on line. Pythiaschad ( talk) 02:11, 6 October 2008 (UTC) pythiaschad
My dad is a Pythian -- or at least he was, in the chapter in Co-op City -- and I'm trying to help him reunite with some of his old friends, several of whom are Past Grand Chancellors. Is there any way I can find them? -- 204.246.229.216 16:15, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Does this mean that Christians are de-facto excluded? I can hardly imagine a believer publicly trading the names of Christ and Trinity for some robespierian heresy - but then my personal contacts with Christians are limited to Eastern Orthodoxes and Lutherans.

The order is non-sectarian. Similar to the Masons, it is belief in some Supreme Being, the nature of which is not dictated to the members. I have often questioned how someone who is polytheistic would take the membership oath, but that is another discussion. So, how does this exclude a Christian? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.44.251.45 ( talk) 05:50, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
W. C. Handy, the so-called "father of the blues," may or may not have been a formally inducted member of the Knights of Pythias, but he was leading a Knights of Pythias band in Clarksdale, Mississippi when he first encountered the blues in Tutwiler, MS and Cleveland, MS. Somebody should add this to the main article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.229.164.106 ( talk) 00:45, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Many of the 'notable members' are lacking citations. If citations cannot be provided that they are/were members, they should be removed from the list. If people are either not members, or are not notable enough to warrant a source as a notable member, they should be removed from the list. It is not sufficient to assert that a person who is notable for something else was also a member of this group.-- Jeffro77 ( talk) 11:50, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
A few years ago, I added Francis E Warren to this section. In my lodge, we have his membership certificate. We have never been able to upload that type of document to the internet, so exactly how do I properly cite this?
