Opening and closure dates

Confirmation of the opening and closure dates for Kilmaurs is required. I believe it opened in 1873 when the line opened; closed in 1966 when other stations on the line closed. The current station was built in the late 1980s/early 1990s with a new platform. Stewart 23:34, 6 December 2006 (UTC) reply

The Butt directory confirms the 1873 and 1966 dates, however it states the new Kilmaurs station opened in 1984. I'll update the page with the relevant info. -- Dreamer84 00:12, 7 December 2006 (UTC) reply

Closing date

To whoever keeps changing the date of closure, do you have a source for this? I am going to revert it to the date given in a published source in the meantime. And any source for the whole 'fireworks and marquee' stuff? I'm not sure the fact that tea and biscuits were served is notable. -- Dreamer84 16:49, 28 June 2007 (UTC) reply
