Part of my move edit summary got clipped, so here's the full version:
The proper subject of the article is the incident, not Mr. McLean, and there have been other murders on Greyhound buses, but only one beheading (I hope!). "Greyhound beheading" would refer to a dog and without the "incident", it might imply that "Greyhound passenger beheading" is some ongoing activity. I think we can skip "bus" though.-- Father Goose ( talk) 00:11, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
There was clear consensus, of 13 editors at the AFD, for "Murder of Tim McLean" and no consensus for "Greyhound passenger beheading incident," which has zero Google News hits, unlike "Murder of Tim McLean," which has 9 Google News hits. The most commonly used title is preferred in Wikipedia. Please seek consensus here before moving the article to some newly coined title one prefers. Edison ( talk) 01:05, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
jesus christ, just leave the frickin memorial site up, at least for a few weeks. it would mean a lot to people who knew Tim, and i don't see any real harm in it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.65.240.196 ( talk) 04:35, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

I noticed at Killing of Tim McLean#Vince Weiguang Li that the template says "Vince Weiguang Li"
As in Vince is not merely a shortening of Vincent as a nickname, but rather his legal name.
If so, shouldn't we mention in the opening that even though Vincent Li redirects here that Vince Li is more accurate?
This March 2009 article makes me wonder whether 'Vincent' might be accurate though. It says "Vincent Li not criminally responsible" in the title, then "the fate of Vincent Lee" but then more notably "My fear is that Vincent Li may get out and be released into the public one day, and I fear for the public" is attributed to John McClean Senior.
Was McClean Senior possibly misinformed or just wrongly assumed that Vince was shortened from Vincent (as per the usual) or was he correct?
Do we have any legal court documents which could clear this up for us? You'd figure they'd use the legal/birth name so we could clear up which is the original and which is the slang. 184.145.18.50 ( talk) 09:46, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
Where does it say that his Chinese name is Weiguang Li? I looked through all the links and none of the have Weiguang Li in there...??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.86.164.236 ( talk) 07:36, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
I just wanted to ask if there should be a quick mention in the "in media" section to this incident being discussed in the show Monsters and Mysteries in America? While the premise being posed in this show about this incident is certainly outlandish, it was mentioned nonetheless, so I think it should get a quick line about it here, but I would leave that final decision to others. If anybody is interested, here's a link to that episode at the start of this incident being discussed: [1] Bobharris1989 ( talk) 06:10, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
