Autopsy
"At the time of the autopsy, the pathologist recorded that it appeared her vaginal area had been wiped with a cloth."
Short of finding fibers (which would have likely been mentioned if that's what they found), how could he possibly tell this? —

Parental neglect?
Where did the parents think their daughter was? Did they think she was at school because apparently they didn’t have any idea was missing until Patsy saw the ransom note.
