I've put in at requested moves to move this page to David Wilkie (taxi driver), which is currently a redirect to UK miners' strike (1984–1985)#Consequences. I don't anticipate opposition, but if there is, the procedure is shown on the requested moves page. Sam Blacketer 00:47, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Sorry about this but there is nothing notable about David Wilkie; what was notable was his death and the implications for the miners' strike. There is a precedent in another article that, by coincidence, I created namely Murder of Julie Ward, and others.
My suggestion is to move the article to Killing of David Wilkie (it was not in the end murder) which puts the emphasis on the pivotal moment of the article. TerriersFan 02:13, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
"A third man, Anthony Williams... was acquitted... A third miner, Dean Williams, was cleared of conspiracy to cause serious injury"
Are Anthony and Dean the same person? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 11:13, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
