I think we should rename this article "Kildare Town" and have a disambiguation page linking to it. Several links which are supposed to connect to County Kildare lead here instead. -- Dmitry
(Indent intended here) I made the mistake myself - I was looking for County Kildare and went here instead.

With regards to the town/county difference, do you think the "places of interest" should be moved to the county article? Ptanham 10:01, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
I propose setting up
Kildare as a disambiguation page,
Kildare Town as the new location for this page and
County Kildare as the location for the article currently there. I'm going to
be bold and do it unless there is dispute. It's a simple issue of clarity.

Per request on my talk page;
It looks like Kildare was moved to Kildare Town without any discussion/consensus whatsoever. Note that for Irish articles, town naming doesn't normally proceed in this manner, and that a previously overlooked page, Kildare (disambiguation) already existed. We ended up in a situation where there are two dab pages.
I have moved the town page back to Kildare. Note that Special:Whatlinkshere/Kildare_Town needs to be cross-checked and fixed, and Special:Whatlinkshere/Kildare probably also needs sifting.
Note towns like Waterford, Kilkenny, etc. WP:NC:CITY and WP:IMOS are the definitive style documents on this issue. If anything, it should read, "Ballywhatsit, County Whatever" but definitely not "Ballywhatsit Town" (note double-sin of having the capitalised "T") - Alison ☺ 19:36, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
