I am trying to find out how to write the name of " Khecheopalri Lake" in Sikkimese (Tibetan script) so that this can be added to the article. I have searched the web and written to several native speakers (including User:སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ།) plus others inside and outside Sikkim, and also academics in Europe... but it is still unclear.
A Sikkimese buddhist monk provided this handwritten version on the right (only the word "Khecheopalri"). However the syllables sound incorrect when transliterated.
This appears to be what was written in the picture: མཁཞ་སྤྱོད་དཔལི་༨། (just my crude attempt at conversion to unicode)
Another source,
this online translation software suggests that it would be written as:
While I know computer translation is not reliable, these at least sound similar to "Kha-Chot-Palri" (begins with 'kha' for example).
Can anyone assist in finding a reliable and verified example of the Khecheopalri in Sikkimese Tibetan script?
