There is information in the Kenyan Defence Forces page that belongs here.I will be updating the page with that information. Mwenemucii ( talk) 13:54, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
The Kenya Regiment drew from both black and white Kenyans. About 1,500 Black Kenyans served in the Regiment during the Mau Mau drawing from Kalenjin, Kikuyu, Turkana, Kamba, ... and were especially valued for their tracking skills [Stapleton T.J., Warfare and Tracking in Africa 1952-1990, Routledge, 6 Oct 2015] . I have amended the article to reflect this. 144.134.131.186 ( talk) 04:07, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
I question (hence the citation need tag I put in) the statement in the summary that the Kenya Regiment disbanded in 1939. Josslyn Hay, 22nd Earl of Erroll was commissioned in the regiment at the start of WWII and is listed by the CWGC as having died serving as Captain in the Kenya Regiment following his unsolved murder in January 1941.
