I just added it. I think I properly named her unit, but if someone can check and correct if necessary, thanks. Also, I couldn't remember either what rank she got busted down too, so if you could include both that and her former rank of lieutenant in the title section, great. Finally, her sister, mom, and ex husbdand's names should be added under relatives.

Please do not delete any fields, no matter how much you think they don't apply. So long as no info is typed to the right of the equal sign, it doesn't affect the article. If something does come up (hopefully not death), then it's there and waiting. Finally, I got all those fields by copying and pasting from another article. Keep it all there for ease of use by other editers. IMHO ( talk) 23:39, 19 December 2008 (UTC) reply

Murphy's divorced status

Hi IMHO, you wrote:

In the fourth book we find that Murphy is divorced, and that her husband, also a policeman, left her because he felt like she was ignoring him for her job. He is now married to her younger sister. This was her second marriage; the first one was short lived and occurred before Murphy had graduated from High School.

But I heard just the first audiobook today ... and there is said already said, that she is at least one time divorced:

"Sometimes, Murph," I panted, "you make things just a little harder than they need to be. Anyone ever tell you that?" I bent down to her, and slipped my cuffed wrist beneath her arm and around her back, drawing her own arm back with me, my right arm and her left bound by the handcuff.

"My ex-husbands," she moaned.

Sorry, that I can't give a better quoting source. It's in the last third of the book, after the first scorpion attacks in Dresden's office.

Sorry, if this is too wisecracked. Nice article so far. Thanks :) 77.190.80.47 ( talk) 20:09, 10 January 2010 (UTC) reply

Inclusion of death in the lead section

I see a number of edits adding and removing Murphy's death from the lead section over the last month or so. My personal opinion is that it should be left out of the lead and discussed in the body of the article (as it already is). It's true that spoilers may be used in Wikipedia articles, but only if they serve an encyclopedic purpose. My problem with putting this up front is that Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. We already know that she's not entirely gone, and this series has seen major characters come back from the "dead" before. We simply don't know (and won't, possibly until the series ends) whether she'll continue to be a character at some level, so I don't see it as accurate for us to write her out of the series just yet. I don't think too many people were rushing to write Harry out of the series following the publishing of Changes, after all. ‑‑ ElHef ( Meep?) 19:28, 14 November 2020 (UTC) reply

Under "Background", in the 14th paragraph (In the novella "Aftermath"....), "Georgia ... have been taken" should be changed to "Georgia ... has been taken".

Done. The article is currently protected because of ongoing edit-warring over whether to include her death in the lead section. You're welcome to add your thoughts on that in the section above. ‑‑ ElHef ( Meep?) 15:38, 29 November 2020 (UTC) reply
