The summary box is very confusing. "Closed: Open" doesn't make any sense at all and it seems rather strange to claim that the stadium was demolished in 2003 but will continue to be used by Olympiacos until 2052. This could probably be phrased better: perhaps something like "Previous stadium demolished: 2003"?

Now what is it, Piraeus or Athens? Aren't these two separate (albeit geographically close) cities? Guus Hoekman 08:46, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

It used to be a stadium, it is now a football ground. Should there be a separate page for the new Karaiskakis, or should this be mentioned in this article. In Greek the venue is sometimes still referred to mistakenly as Karaiskakis Stadium, while since its reconstruction it is officially a football ground. This is because it has no track around it that would allow it to host athletics events. Dienekes7 ( talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:33, 3 August 2009 (UTC).
I believe a paragraph should be added referring to the "match against poverty” held in Karaiskakis Stadium in 2010.
Here is a sample paragraph that can be used if appropriate >>>>>> On the 11th of December 2010, The Karaiskakis Stadium held the 8th “ Match Against Poverty” an event established by the UNDP Goodwill Ambassadors Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane. The event was a sold-out and 33.000 spectators attended the friendly match the main goal of which was to support the people affected by the Haiti earthquake, occurred earlier that year. >>>>

The stadium appears to be owned by the Hellenic Olympic Committee. In 2003, a lease for use, but not ownership, was granted to Olympiakos. I've seen that on several sources, including this one, and while they're not great sources, I think the current wording should stay until a reliable source with contrary information is discovered.
