Windows support?

They say it works for windows. I haven't read ONE success story on the web of it actually running half-decent or at all on windows. I say take down Windows as a supported OS. Abedia ( talk) 04:14, 19 January 2009 (UTC) reply

It works for Windows, but seems to be very buggy. Especially it is impossible to download many files in parallel, because this will fail with the message "error: can't open file. too many open files.". Other non-fatal problems also occur. And the memory footprint is quite big, because on Windows it has to load many dependencies already loaded under Linux etc. Therefore I think Windows should be in the supported OS list, but the problems should probably be mentioned in the article. Windows is not supported any more, at least not via any official installer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.139.81.0 ( talk) 10:52, 19 March 2012 (UTC) reply
