I recommend merging together into the "Messer Leon" article. Unless by astonishing coincidence, I think it's the same person. I think "Messer Leon" is the more common appellation.
Did he really cite Rambam, who was his (controversial) younger contemporary? I suspect that Maimonides made this list in error, as the list until now included R. Joseph Karo (!). —
