(note that Charlotte was Joseph's sister - other sisters were Caroline and Emily - and Joseph's wife was Julia Hyde (of Oregon, I think - certainly an American lady). Their mother is buried in Ross Bay cemetery, Victoria, BC. Joseph had no children but his brother John had one daughter, Charlotte Trutch, who was the first white child born in Yale. Charlotte had 4 children - I am one of her grandchildren - Graham Michael Trutch Kelly of London, UK - February 2007)
